SAT1 Critical Reading Tutors
Tavistock Tutors offer SAT critical reading tutors in the London area. Critical reading forms 1/3 of the SAT exam, which itself forms the basis of most US college admissions decisions. It is made up of two 25 minute sections and one 20 minute section. The types of questions include sentence completions and questions about short and long reading passages. Primarily, it is designed to test the students understanding of sentence structure and vocabulary. However, most of the passages are on subjects such as social sciences, humanities, physical sciences, or personal narratives so additional knowledge in these areas can be an advantage.
It is natural, that different students will have strengths and weaknesses in different areas of the SAT. However, with competition for places being so intense a student cannot afford to have a weaker suit. The fact that Tavistock Tutors offers tutoring for separate parts of the SAT is in keeping with its ethos. We listen to our clients, and we understand each area requires a different skill set, different knowledge and has different pitfalls. Many tutoring companies would just send an SAT tutor to a student struggling with critical reading, but we always go that extra mile.
To allow us to do this, we interview all our prospective tutors. This is to ensure that they have a passion for teaching that is required of a Tavistock Tutor, and so that we have detailed knowledge of their strengths. This means that when you contact us, our educational consultants will be able to send you a tutor that is a perfect match. In this case a tutor with a proven record of success studying and teaching critical reading.
