Naeem

My Passion & How I Inspire

I am a graduate of the University of Oxford, and am currently studying to become a doctor. I have tutored for many years and have a 100% success rate with Medical School entrance mentoring. I particularly enjoy working with young people and aiding them in their journey through school. My personal philosophy to tutoring is based on the observation that tutors are only with pupils for a limited amount of time per week. As such, I believe that no matter how great the tutor is, the success of the pupil is dependent on his or her willingness to work outside of timetabled lessons. In order to encourage independent study, I work very hard to instill in my pupils a passion for learning. The main method I use to achieve this is to relate text-book material to real-life scenarios as often as possible. I come across many students who are hugely talented, but due to a lack of interest in their studies, are unable to capitalise on their genetic potential. It is these students that benefit most from an inspirational and enthusiastic tutor. Once pupils become enthused with learning, they are truly unstoppable, and it is this enthusiasm that I aim to cultivate in all of my tutees.

Of utmost importance to me however is the creation of a safe environment where tutees can express themselves, and where mistakes are not seen as things to be afraid of, but opportunities to learn from. I look forward to working with yourselves to design a syllabus that best suits the individual needs of your child.

My Reviews

"Naeem has the ability to explain concepts very clearly and easily which made me realize that studying isn’t as stressful as I initially thought. He is also very responsible with his work. His organization helped me to stay up-to-date with my studies."

‘‘I felt very comfortable with Naeem teaching my son science; he takes the time to constantly relay feedback to us, as parents, which is wonderful! His politeness is truly astounding, and his patient manner with our son really helped develop his rather low self-confidence. I cannot recommend him enough. He is truly a doctor in the making’’
