My Passion & How I Inspire

My lessons are designed to build confidence. My style is friendly and encouraging, knowledgeable and professional. I have a calm demeanor and I'm fairly laid back although I have high expectations of my students. I believe in you and I know I can make you a better writer, better than you think you can be.

My Experience

Writing Coach. I am a writer, editor, book publisher and visual artist from Chicago. I specialize in helping people to improve their writing skills. Currently I work with students (undergrad and up) to help them create successful essays and dissertations. I also work with novelists and memoirists to improve technical aspects of their writing such as plot, character development, structure, and synopsis. The work we do enables writers to build confidence, fine tune their manuscript, and prepare for submissions to agents and publishers.

My teaching experience began twenty years ago when I was an art teacher at private art schools in the US (children and adults). I taught traditional oil painting, abstract painting, freehand drawing and perspective drawing. In 2004 my creative work expanded when I moved to Mexico and began writing. At this time I also began working as an ESL teacher with business executives in Mexico City. Since then I have worked as an ESL teacher in the Czech Republic with adults, in China with children, and in Saudi Arabia with university students.
