My Passion & How I Inspire

I am able to make learning fun and effective and to quickly deliver outstanding results. My clients enjoy our sessions and become naturally interested in the subject material – which is the most efficient way to improve. I bring my skills as a writer for major publications including The Financial Times and The Economist to hone and help draft admissions essays and interview answers for the world’s top schools and universities.

My Experience

I was a Teaching Fellow at Yale University in the Departments of History and Economics, teaching weekly classes to 15 Yale undergraduates, setting and marking all of their essays exams and classwork. I have tutored independently for the past five years in London and Paris, teaching applicants for Oxford, Cambridge and St Andrew’s and students already at university. I have also tutored students applying to Eton, Winchester, UCS, St Paul’s, Harrow and other competitive schools, as well as students already at university. I was previously a tutor for Oxbridge Admissions, an agency specialising in Oxbridge interview practice and applications. Before that I volunteered at Oxford during the interview process.

I am a passionate tutor able to engage students in their subjects. I have a proven track record of helping students achieve success at GCSE and A Level, as well as in university interviews, tests and admissions. Besides tutoring I am a freelance features and reviews writer. I write regularly for The Financial Times’s Special Reports section and have also been published in The Guardian magazine, The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Economist, Haaretz, Tablet Magazine and Reuters Foundation. I was previously a speechwriter for the Prime Minister’s Envoy to the Sahel (focused on North Africa) and worked for The Wall Street Journal in Paris.
