My Passion & How I Inspire

Generally speaking, I prefer an active learning style where the student would regularly interact with me through exercises, games and case studies so that they can clearly demonstrate that they are getting to grips with the topic. This is what worked for me during my school and uni days but I would also be happy to deliver a more passive style of tutoring if the student prefers. At the end of the session, I will summarise the content, check that the student understands it and introduce the topic of the next session. If appropriate, I will also set some exercises to do between the sessions.

My Experience

During my Ph.D., I tutored maths A-Level and undergraduate (mostly maths, physics and engineering-based) level courses. I also demonstrated labs to undergraduate students. Furthermore, I also worked in a local secondary school during my undergraduate as teaching assistant, primarily supporting maths and science classes.
