My Approach to Private Tuition

I have over six years of experience in one on one tuition, 3 of which as a fully qualified teacher. I have a bachelor’s degree from Imperial College in physics with science education, a mixture of rigorous scientific research and up to date educational philosophy and psychology.

My experience has shaped the way that I approach tutoring. My firmly held belief is that anyone can perform at the top level with a combination of two main attributes. Firstly, a rigorous understanding of the basic key principles that underpin a subject. Secondly, the confidence to apply these core principles to a range of unknown situations.

I endeavor to work with the individual to nurture these two areas and develop a true and lasting aptitude and appreciation of the subject.

Client Feedback

“Hugo has been a massive help to my daughter over a long and often difficult school career. From GCSE right through to A-level, she would not be where she is today without him.”

“My son had always been told that he was bad at maths and that he would find it very hard to get into Dulwich. Hugo came and within a few months his confidence and ability had sky-rocketed. A year on and he is settling in nicely to the school he has always wanted to attend”

“I could not have done mechanics without Hugo, he was a huge support and help”

“My son has severe ADHD and finds it very difficult to concentrate. Hugo has endless patience and Jack now looks forward to his visits”
