Classical subjects are easily caricatured as dusty, distant and irrelevant. I believe it is essential to combine a focused, precise approach to the linguistic nitty gritty of grammar and vocabulary but always to keep an eye on the broader picture, on the rich, diverse and unique viewpoint students can gain from in depth study of these cultures which have so shaped our modern world.

I have tutored Latin, Classical Greek, Ancient History and Classical Civilisation to A-Level.
Extensive experience preparing students for Oxbridge interviews and successful Common Entrance and 11+ tutor with students going on to schools including Eton, St Edwards Oxford and Westminster.
I also spent the summer after graduating teaching at a school in Bahir Dar Ethiopia with the charity Link Ethiopia.
