My Passion & How I Inspire

I believe that students learn best in a warm, friendly environment, with lessons tailored to their needs – whether that involves very structured exercises, open discussions about a text’s themes or possible essay topics, or a mixture of the two! I encourage students to talk comfortably about areas they find more difficult, then work with them to equip them with the knowledge and skills they need, combining enjoyment and confidence with structured learning and clear goals.

My Experience

My first teaching experience came in 2010, when I started giving individual piano lessons to ten beginner students, tailoring their lessons to suit their goals and ages (from 7 to 40+). I have since given formal and informal tutoring in a variety of contexts, including lessons in conversational Spanish and English, and essay writing skills. I also work in the publishing industry and as a freelance translator, editor and proofreader.
