My Passion & How I Inspire

I am extremely passionate about tutoring! In my experience, a 'one-size-fits-all' approach to tutoring simply does not work. Students can be very different and I like to tailor my tutoring style to fit each individual person, in order to get the best out of them. Some students have a great concentration span and don't mind sitting interrupted for an hour, other students lose focus quickly and require very short breaks to in order to absorb the material in front of them in a meaningful way ; some students respond very well to visual learning aids (mind-maps, flow charts etc), whereas others prefer dealing with standard text. It is these sorts of things that I like to figure out upfront. I then adjust my style in order to make each student's session effective and worthwhile! This tailored approach is not feasible in the standard school/university environment and it is what makes tutoring so effective, in my opinion.

My Experience

Economics is what I am most passionate about and I have tutored it at all levels for the last 6 years - from prep school right up to undergraduate level! I particularly enjoy tutoring economics at the undergraduate level as I find that this is where the work gets really exciting.

I have also tutored Mathematics and Biology up until the equivalent of A Levels and absolutely love it.
