My Passion & How I Inspire

I personally struggled in my high school until the age of 12, and then I realised that there is an effective approach to preparing oneself towards assessments or in life in general, and today I am considered one of the most successful engineers / academic tutors. I usually put forth my story as an example, and student find it particularly inspiring. I love the idea of helping students acquire top results. It is in my nature to love challenges, and what is more challenging that to help students who struggle with their studies to achieve those dream results?

My Experience

Until recently, I worked as a Senior Teaching Associate in Mechatronics Engineering at a leading UK University, where I was widely regarded as the highest-rated academic. At this University, I was also appointed to be the Examination Officer within the Engineering Department. Occasionally, I offer lectures/seminars at various other institutions on a variety of subject areas including, but not limited to, Engineering Mathematics, Thermofluids (Thermodynamics and Fluid Dynamics), Heat Transfer, Fatigue and Fracture Mechanics, Solid Body Mechanics (Statics and Rigid Body Dynamics), Mechanical Vibrations, Structural Analysis, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Soil Mechanics and Geotechnics, Aerodynamics, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Programmable Systems, Control Systems (Laplace Transform and Z-transform), Power Systems and Analogue Electronics.

For the 15 years, I have also taught several hundred students on a one-to-one basis and have delivered results beyond expectations. I have a proven track record of excellent results, unmatched by any other tutor / teacher / lecturer. In fact, I have made students who were failing their degree studies become University Toppers (references can be provided upon request). To date, I have tutored students at various UK institutions and institutions overseas, ranging from Cambridge University and Imperial College to IE School of Architecture. These students were very happy with my tutoring service because they were being prepared to reach their highest potential, and this was somewhat evident from the fact that they typically acquired the highest marks in their class / year.

As a tutor, I prepare students mostly towards their Bachelors, Masters and PhDs in a variety of academic disciplines (e.g. Mechanical / Aerospace / Automotive / Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Finance etc.). The list of subjects I tutor at A-levels and at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels are briefly outlined below:

A-levels (AS and A2) and IB: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Additional Further Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.

Degree level (for Undergraduates and Postgraduates): Mathematics, Analytical Methods, Mechatronics, Drone/UAV Engineering, Power Engineering and Heat Transfer, Programmable Systems, Solid Body Mechanics (Statics + Dynamics), Internal Combustion Engines, Aerodynamics (for Ground and Airborne Vehicles), Digital Signal Processing, Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics etc.

I approach students in many ways, but the route taken varies from one student to another, and from one circumstance to another. However, it generally depends on the student's character, his/her learning abilities, how well he/she understands the different subject areas and if there are any upcoming examinations/assessments. I always break down complex topics to simpler concepts. Students have always complimented me on how I make difficult concepts look so easy. As time progresses, the rate of teaching is gradually increased with regular homework/classwork given to ensure that what is taught is well understood. As the exams approach it is a matter of fast-track revision, and working through past-papers in line with mark schemes (whenever possible). I strongly believe that this would increase the students' ability and confidence, and thus lead to better examination performance.

Fun fact

I build completely autonomous unmanned aerial systems for commercial and military applications (mapping, surveying, surveillance, inspection, monitoring etc.) from scratch.
