My Approach to Private Tuition
My teaching philosophy is based on developing a good working relationship with my students. I am patient, sympathetic and hard-working and I make a particular effort to explain concepts to students in a way that they can easily understand. There is an important balance to be struck between challenging students and allowing them to make progress at their own speed. It is also very important to work with parents to establish a common teaching objective. Finally, I am a keen sportsman and I encourage my students to maintain a healthy outdoor lifestyle to complement their academic studies.
My video Introduction
‘I couldn’t have got a 2.1 without your teaching. Thank you!’
‘I just wanted to email to say thanks for the supervisions. They were extremely helpful and without the understanding that you gave me I would not have been able to get a first’.
‘Thanks for everything this year. You were the best supervisor we had during our time at Cambridge’.
I was once the youngest ever British junior chess champion!
