Michele leads the team of Tavistock Tutors US university advisers. She offers a boutique advisory service to help parents and students chart a pathway toward a successful US university application. Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in the provision of education and counselling to young people, Michele's comprehensive grasp of the demands of university entrance and broad network of contacts ensure that those engaging her services are always ahead of the curve.
Michele currently works with some of the top British schools and helps their students with their applications to universities in the US. She graduated from Wellesley College in the USA with a Bachelor of Arts degree (Honors in Political Science & minor in Chemistry). Thereafter, she worked in the Contracts Department of the Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company redrafting its policies into simplified language pursuant to the requirements of Massachusetts legislation.
She then studied law and obtained her Juris Doctor (Cum Laude) degree from Suffolk University Law School. After achieving top results in her first year, she was invited to write for the Law Review. In her final year, she was the Note Editor of the International Law Journal. Upon graduating and passing the exams, she was admitted to the bars in both New York and Massachusetts. After graduation, Michele was awarded a prestigious federal clerkship to serve in the United States Court of Claims in Washington, D.C. under trial judge Harry Wood. During that year, she was admitted to the Washington D.C. bar after passing the exam while also teaching LSAT preparation courses in her spare time. She received such good feedback from students that she expanded her repertoire to teach the entire range of entrance exams the company offered: SAT, ACT, GMAT, and GRE.
Michele came to London in 1984 and since then she has taught test preparation for the SAT, ACT, GMAT, GRE and LSAT. She redesigned preparation programmes to match the specific needs of students who are not following an American curriculum. She regularly helps students with all aspects of US university entry: from choosing schools through preparing applications to drafting effective essays. In addition to advising students on the admissions process, she offers bespoke ACT test preparation courses.
