The Common Entrance at 13+ is a series of exams taken
just before entry into Year 9. Required by most selective schools across the UK, it is set by the Independent Schools Examinations Board.

The exam is made up of various tests in Maths, English and Science. It also assesses as a range of humanities and may include verbal and non-verbal reasoning papers.

Individual schools then select the candidates they wish to assess in an interview.
