The 11+ is an entrance exam for selective secondary schools. It is currently used by both state grammar schools and selective independent schools to identify academic ability and potential.

The exam consists of papers on literacy, numeracy, verbal and non-verbal reasoning. It varies depending on area and exam board

Some schools will also accept entrance through the 13+ (or less commonly the 12+). Check out our Finding a School section for our advice on how to get your children into the best schools in the UK.
